Based in Yerevan and nearby Dilijan and Gyumri, these areas are hubs for Armenian craftsmanship. Dilijan’s lush forests inspire artists, while Gyumri’s gritty charm is home to master weavers. Yerevan’s markets buzz with handmade goods, blending old and new.

No skills needed — workshops are beginner-friendly, with patient teachers. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dusty or stained (clay’s messy!). Bring a small notebook for artisan tips or sketches. Some workshops have spotty Wi-Fi, so bring a camera for photos. Pack light for easy travel between villages.
Day 1: Arrive in Yerevan, welcome dinner with artisans who share their craft secrets.
Day 2: Drive to Dilijan, morning carpet-weaving workshop. Lunch with locals, then hit a craft market for inspiration. Overnight in Dilijan.
Day 3: Pottery class in a village studio, molding clay with a pro. Evening visit to a woodcarver’s home for a demo. Overnight in Dilijan.
Day 4: Drive to Gyumri, try khachkar carving. Free afternoon at Gyumri’s markets. Farewell dinner with folk music.
Day 5: Return to Yerevan, departure.
